Things to do on Great Barrier Island

Great Barrier has a wonderful range of activities and natural attractions. There are a variety of walking tracks through the stunning terrain, or try fishing, kayaking, boating, horse riding, golf or bird watching.

Fishing and Diving

Great Barrier Island is a haven for casual divers and snorkelers and offers some of the most varied scuba diving in New Zealand. Visibility is usually excellent and the abundant sea life offers rewarding dives in both shallow and deeper waters.
